Suzuki Motor Corporation is one of the top manufacturers of Motorcycles in the entire world, reveling companies like Yamaha with innovation and speed. The company not only specializes in motorcycles, but they also work with ATVs, cars, and marine engines. In 2011 Suzuki was the 10th largest automotive manufacturer in the entire world. The company itself was founded in 1909 and it was originally founded under the name Suzuki Loom Works. The founder himself went by the name Michio Suzuko, naming the company for obvious reasons, as most people name their companies after their family names. The CEO at the present time of the company is named Osamu Suzuki, as being a relative of the founder he seems to have no trouble keeping the greatness of the company alive. Suzuki employs over 45 thousand people and has 35 main production plants around the world. The headquarters of the company is located in Shizuoka Japan. Suzuki did not start manufacturing of their motorcycle brand until 1952 when they released their first model, which was a motorized bicycle. It took until three years later when they started manufacturing full size motorcycles in the year 1955. This started with their first flagship motorcycle named the GT750. The brand first found success with motorcycles when they discovered a man who defected from East Germany who specialized in creating two stroke engines. They hired him and began using his expertise to create different models consisting of the two stroke engine. There is much more to the story, but this is just a general overview of the success of Suzuki.
