This is a general introductory for the Aprilia Motorcycles Company.
Aprilia is from the great country of Italy and was founded in the year 1945 by a man named Caveliere Alberto Beggio. It first started of as a Bicycle manufacturing company and soon worked itself into motorcycle manufacturing. Alberto’s son took the company over in the year 1968, he immediately began construction on the 50 CC motorcycle, he has a dozen or so people help him create this innovation. The production of motorcycles were Mopeds named Colibri, Daniela and Packi. In the 1970s Aprilia started producing motocross bikes called the Scarabeo, this bike came in 50 and 125 CC versions. Aprilia is a smaller manufacturer of motorcycles in the world when compared to companies like Harley Davidson and Yamaha, but they still manage to make their niche in the world of Motorcycle manufacturing with flagship models such as the 1,000 CC V-twin superbike and the RSV Mille. The latest of these bikes that are considered flagships for their company is the V4-based RSV4. The bike company itself is a product of World War II, much like many motorcycle manufacturing companies that started from wars. Harley Davidson, amongst many other brands gained much notoriety from their use in the major world wars in the 1900s. Aprilia is one of the smaller brands of motorcycles in the world, but they also have a very large niche market, with most of their products mainly being sold in Europe, as opposed to their smaller sales being made in the united states and Asia.
